Meaghan Falkanger

Meaghan Falkanger is an associate attorney who focuses on nonprofit startups and federal tax issues. Meaghan brings significant experience in writing and communications to her work as an attorney. She loves to persuasively articulate clients’ positions to the IRS in order to garner tax-exempt recognition and to promote legal compliance.

Meaghan graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. She was inducted into the Order of Coif and served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. Additionally, she served in the MacArthur Justice Center’s Supreme Court and Appellate Program, where she drafted petitions for certiorari and other appellate briefs on behalf of prisoners and victims of police misconduct. Prior to law school, Meaghan worked in media relations for a large nonprofit organization. Meaghan earned her BA from Wheaton College, where she graduated summa cum laude, and she also earned an MA in Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse from DePaul University, where she graduated with distinction.
