Dispute Resolution
Within our law firm’s nonprofit client focus, our DisputeResolution team handles a wide variety of litigation and non-litigation conflicts. We aim to support and guide each client through divisive and otherwise threatening nonprofit legal challenges that can derail an organization from pursuing its mission and thwart its beneficial program activities.
Representing non-profit clients in state and federal court cases, including nonprofit governance issues, control of charitable assets, intellectual property infringement, and contract disputes.
Serving clients involved in pre-litigation and other disputes, such as to resolve matters informally through cost-effective measures, to negotiate mutually acceptable settlements, to issue and handle cease and desist communications, and using mediation as a helpful dispute resolution tool when advisable.
Advocating for our clients’ religious liberty and related interests as part of litigation and non-litigation efforts, particularly for our church clients and other religious organizations such as through the church autonomy legal doctrine.
